We lost Chuck this past weekend, and we’ll miss him. This piece originally ran on July 27, 2011. Thanks, Chuck, for all you did for the Megatrax family.

I recently had the opportunity to work with the production staff of Cirque du Soleil, Inc. on their new show “IRIS”, which just opened last week at the Kodak Theatre here in Los Angeles. They came to us with an expressed interest in our song “Star Studded” by composer Harvey Cohen.  I got the chance to chat with the show’s sound designer Francois Bergeron on how he came across our music for the show.

“I was looking for ‘typical’ award show music to be used in staging with the clowns.  Thinkwell uses (music) libraries for other projects so I went back to our studio and pulled from one our best libraries, ‘Megatrax Music,’ and found ‘Star Studded’. We used the song a couple of times and realized this was the perfect music for the act.  From that moment, we concentrated on the ‘Star Studded’ track to work with segments of the clowns.”

Megatrax is thrilled to be working with Cirque du Soleil/ IRIS and we wish the cast and crew huge success on the new show!
