The people you deal with at Megatrax aren’t just business professionals who happen to work for a music company. They’re musicians and music lovers who care deeply about what they do. Here are three of our amazing reps, each of whom has a deeply personal relationship with music.

When you aren’t at work, what role does music play in your life?

Music plays a huge role in my life. From playing in a Beatles tribute band and recording original material to sharing new songs with my kids (or them sharing with me these days), not a day goes by that I am not neck-deep in music.

What genre (or genres) of music are your favorite?

I will always have a soft spot for punk rock, but these days I find myself listening to a weird mix of alt-country, electro pop and film scores.

What’s your best music memory?

Meeting my wife while my band was on tour (more than 2,000 miles from home).

When you aren’t at work, what role does music play in your life?

Music has always underscored and enhanced my entire life. I come from a musical family and cannot remember a time without music in it.

What genre (or genres) of music are your favorite?

I like them all and mainly listen to Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Classical. I love finding eclectic, non-mainstream, great music as well.

What’s your best music memory?

Playing guitars with my sister and sharing our original music.

When you aren’t at work, what role does music play in your life?

Music is part of my everyday life. Both of my sons are musicians. My oldest, Michael (age 22), plays the guitar, djembe and cajon and is composing music on his own. My youngest, Eric (age 17), plays the harmonica and drums also. My two sons often break out into impromptu jams.

I am currently learning how to play the Ukulele I purchased in Hawaii during my Megatrax 10 Year Anniversary trip.

We also own hundreds of albums (yes, on vinyl) and play music constantly throughout the house. Being part of the radio team, I also love to listen to real radio stations or their streams.

We own five guitars, seven harmonicas, three drums, thousands of CD’s, many classic rock LPs—literally, the music never stops in our home.

What genre (or genres) of music are your favorite?

My favorite genres include Classic Rock, Latin (mostly Salsas, Rumberas and Latin Jazz), Traditional Jazz, Flamenco and Alternative Rock.

What’s your best music memory?

My best musical memory is when I went to see Carlos Santana live in San Diego. His opening act was Michael Franti. Talk about the music never stopping. I danced all night. When I woke up the next day, I was sore as though I had gone to the gym. Love music that makes me dance. Nothing like it!
