We’re excited to announce the addition of two new members to our team. Get to know each of them!

MEET CHARISSE PRESLEY, Division Sales Manager

charisse presley interview

Megatrax: What’s your background in music?

Charisse Presley:  I kind of have a unique background. I have my Master’s in music business administration from Cal State Northridge. I know a lot about publishing which is really great because it brings a lot of knowledge to this job. I also was classically trained growing up. I sang jazz, opera, etc. so I understand music and music theory. I have great ears, so I can hear good music!

MX: What was the first album that you bought?

CP:  I honestly think it may have been on cassette tape. I’m obsessed with Mariah Carey so I believe it was her album “Daydream”. It’s still one of my favorite albums.

MX: What was the first concert that you ever went to?

CP:  It was N’Sync’s “No Strings Attached” tour. It blew my mind. I was all about the boy bands so it was amazing!

MX: Last show you saw?

CP: The last show I went to was Kendrick Lamar’s concert. It was amazing. He was amazing!

CP: What’s at the top of your playlist right now?

CP: Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a huge ’90s R&B head. I’m always listening to ’90s R&B so that’s what I’m usually playing. As far as current people that I’m listening to, I like Sza and I kind of like Miguel’s new album.

Megatrax: Would you like to share a little about the path that led you to Megatrax?

Meghan Montenegro:  I was brought in by Derek (Megatrax Sound Engineer). I’ve known him for 18 years of my life since I’ve been coming to this studio since I was about 5 years old. I’ve been a session singer and songwriter for the past ten years. I’ve worked on many albums like Girl Pop (MX276) and Teen Pop (MX113).

MX: What was the first concert that you saw?

MM:  My mother is obsessed with the Police and Sting. She always told me growing up that she’d leave me and my family in a second for Sting. So my first concert was their reunion tour. My mom scored some tickets for the Staples Center and that was my first real concert experience. It was a good one.

MX: What was the first album that you bought?

MM:  Britney Spears. Her “Oops I Did It Again” album. No shame in my game!

MX: Last show you saw?

MM:  The last concert I went to was kind of a lesser known group, Fishbone. I saw them at the Roxy. It was a good time.
